VIC Govt to invest extra $115M after aged care flu deaths hit 116

A Govt spokesperson confirmed the number had risen from the 95 deaths recorded last month.

“We have had over 14,000 notifications of influenza this year in Victoria – that is more than double what we had last year,” Health Minister Jill Hennessy told SBS.

The funding will be shared between public hospitals and regional nursing centres.
