The Government has chosen the Chinese Community Council of Australia, Victorian Chapter (CCCAV) and the Not For Profit Doutta Galla Aged Services to run the new 90-bed facility in Springvale South, 24km southeast of the CBD, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
Doutta Galla has the right experience – they have eight aged care facilities and specialises in supporting residents from diverse backgrounds.
This project is part of the Andrews Labor Government’s long-term plans to develop more “culturally appropriate” aged care services across Victoria – they recently put $14.5 million towards land for two Indian-specific aged care facilities.
