WA provider Bethanie takes out UDIA’s ‘Best Seniors Living Project’ award

The Not For Profit won the category for their Gwelup campus, which opened in March and will eventually be home to 62 retirement living apartments and a 112-bed aged care facility.

The judges were impressed with the level of technology throughout the campus, its low environmental footprint and services available to the residents which include meal delivery and in-house cleaning and laundry services.

Each apartment also features a gourmet kitchen, resort-style ensuite and a balcony or courtyard, while the campus-style design allows couples with different support needs to be easily catered for.

“At this stage, we have two couples with us who are in the fortunate situation where one is able to live independently in their own apartment while their partner lives practically down the hallway, receiving full-time care,” Bethanie CEO Chris How said.
