Construction complete on Presbyterian Aged Care’s (NSW & ACT) $180 million inner-city prestige retirement community

1 min read

Expanding over 1.5 hectares, The Terraces in Paddington (just three kilometres outside the Sydney CBD – pictured), comprises a 100-bed residential aged care facility, 23-bed dementia unit and 70 independent living units across four buildings on the former Scottish Hospital site.

According to PAC CEO, Paul Sadler, the provider has already sold roughly 85% of available beds in the RAC facility, and 95% of Stage One of the ILUs (all bar one occupied).

Mr Sadler says pre-sales are also at 90% for the final 52 units in Stage Two, with the first residents set to move in next month.

As we reported here, work initially commenced on the community back in November 2015, and construction was staged to enable the existing aged care facility to remain operational until all residents could be moved into the new buildings.

The Terraces is PAC’s largest single project in NSW, and one of the organisation’s 15 retirement villages across metro and regional NSW and the ACT. PAC also has nine residential aged care facilities
