Corio Projects reveals $81M integrated care seniors living plan for Sydney’s Inner West

1 min read

The State Significant Development Application for Corio Projects’ $81 million integrated seniors living development in Forest Lodge, 4km southwest of Sydney’s CBD, is now on exhibition.

The proposal includes 71 independent living apartments and a 12-bed residential aged care facility, alongside resident amenities and new public open space.

The project follows Corio’s  $170 million integrated seniors living development in Rosebery – a six-building, eight-storey precinct approved in July – as the group continues to expand its urban seniors housing pipeline.

Project details

Designed by WMK Architecture, the Forest Lodge development would comprise a five- to six-storey mixed-use seniors living building with:

  • 71 independent living units – including 4 one-bedroom, 43 two-bedroom, and 24 three-bedroom apartments
  • 12 residential aged care beds on Level 1
  • Staff offices and administration areas to support aged care operations
  • Shared amenities including a cinema, hair salon, café, multipurpose room, and landscaped central courtyard
  • A basement and ground-level car park with 78 spaces for residents and staff
  • Publicly accessible open space at the rear of the site, linking and expanding the existing Larkin Street Reserve

“The proposal responds to the growing demand for quality seniors housing and aged care within the inner-city context, while contributing positively to the public domain and surrounding urban fabric,” WMK Architecture said.

Corio Projects already owns the  Broadlands land lease brand, with six communities in NSW: Green Point, Muswellbrook, Tamworth, Harrington, the DA-approved 206-home Narooma and the yet-to-be-developed South West Rocks.
