First homes near lock-up at Halcyon Gables – Stockland’s first land lease community in NSW

1 min read

The first homes in Stage One of Stockland Halcyon Gables, the developer’s first land lease community in New South Wales, are approaching lock-up as construction accelerates within the Gables masterplanned community in Sydney’s Hills Shire, 52km northwest of the CBD.

“The tiling and painting is complete, with joinery going in as I speak. It’s really starting to feel like home,” said Development Manager Yusuf Aydogan in Stockland Residential Communities’ latest construction update video, posted on 1 October.

When complete, Stockland Halcyon Gables will feature 231 manufactured homes for over-60s across 12 hectares, complemented by a suite of resort-style facilities designed for active retirees. Launched in April 2024, the community’s central facilities are also under construction, and Aydogan confirmed that “the gates will open shortly to welcome the first residents.”

The site sits adjacent to Stockland Gables, the developer’s new $95 million retail precinct, which also opened on 1 October. The shopping centre includes Woolworths, BWS, Priceline Pharmacy, Radhe Indian Supermarket, Nextra, and a range of health and lifestyle services, including Live Well Health Club, Myhealth GP, Nido Early School, and La Vue Beauty Bar.

A mix of cafes and restaurants – including Willows Restaurant, La Taqueria, Shanghai Lane, Café Capri, C9 Gelato, and Sushi Hub – add to the growing community hub.

The Gables residential estate, where Halcyon Gables is located, is already home to over 6,200 residents, with the population expected to reach 13,000 – from first homebuyers to retirees – on completion.
