Former McDonald’s tycoon Clive Armitage sells off his Toowoomba LLC

A land lease community in Queensland’s Darling Downs, owned by property developer Clive Armitage, is up for sale after two decades in operation.

Kingfisher Grove Lifestyle Village in Toowoomba features a mix of owned and rental homes, with the homeowners paying site fees, and has been listed for expressions of interest through Ray White Commercial. According to agent Peter Marks (pictured), the village has room for expansion.

“There’s a block of land that can be developed, there was a DA in the past but that has lapsed,”
he told the Toowoomba Chronicle, adding that similar communities “are few and far between, and the owner has done a good job at looking after the place”.

“They are looking forward to handing over the reins to someone who will continue providing quality services for the residents,” he said.

Owner Clive Armitage is a well-known philanthropist in the Toowoomba region, having brought the first McDonald’s to the city in the late 1970s.

Expressions of interest close at 4pm on 24 February.
