Churches of Christ in Queensland is investing $38M in redeveloping a co-located regional village in QLD, with potential for a manufactured home estate.

“The manufactured home estate provides an affordable seniors living option, which allows people to age in place with access to the support and care they may require in the future if they need,” COCQ tells us.

The master-planned Boonah campus at their existing site at Fassifern, 88km southwest of Brisbane, will see a 96-suite aged care home built over one- and two-storey buildings in the first stage. Once complete, the old nursing home will be demolished. Home care and support services will also be offered from the site.

The redevelopment will also see another 38 retirement village units built in a later stage, bringing the total ILU’s to 85.

Future stages of the campus will depend on demand, but will incorporate more seniors’ housing including the potential MHE.

Churches of Christ is one of Australia’s largest Not For Profits, with 28 residential aged care services and 23 retirement villages in QLD and VIC.
