Village consortium operator Arvida starts buying villages

It was just six months ago that the 10 village owners who called their villages together to form Arvida and list on the New Zealand stock exchange.

Now they are expanding, buying three Auckland both retirement villages for $62 million.

It is only a matter of time before individual village owners in Australia some to pull their villages into an investment fund similar to Arvida, which is led by Bill McDonald (pictured) from Australia who worked with ING and Stockland on their retirement village businesses.
