The state government has said it seeks to collaborate with the property and construction industry to “increase the supply and diversity of social housing”.
The Department of Communities states it is particularly interested in submissions that:
• Demonstrate value for money, innovation and sustainable development initiatives;
• Offer one and two-bedroom housing projects that are already development approved with a builder ready to construct homes.
The Cook Government claims it has spent $2.6 billion in social housing and homelessness measures, with more than 1,300 social homes built with a further 1,100 social homes under contract or construction.
Submissions can be made to Communities at any time until 2 July 2024.
