The Melbourne-based Not For Profit, which has three aged care homes and one retirement village, has announced the appointment of global health and aged care leader Paul Gregersen as its new CEO.

Paul brings more than 35 years of senior leadership experience to the role, including 25 years in the healthcare and aged care sectors.

Current CEO Stuart Rodney announced in April 2025 that he would step down for family reasons, but will work with Paul from 1 July 2025 during a handover period.  Over the course of his career, Paul has overseen the successful development of 23 new aged care homes, integrated over 50 services into existing portfolios, and supported more than $2 billion in healthcare investments.

Paul was previously the Managing Director of Bupa for nearly 15 years (2001-2014), and then had two years (2014-2016) as CEO and Managing Director of Estia Health.

Under the Gillard Government, the then (and now) Minister for Health and Ageing Mark Butler appointed Paul as an expert member to the Aged Care Financing Authority (ACFA), a now-defunct body that commenced in 2012 as part of the Living Longer Living Better reforms, during which Paul contributed to the development of national aged care policy.

Paul left Estia Health in 2016 after the company failed to meet its earnings guidance following the Federal Government's decision to cut funding to the sector after evidence showed providers were "gaming" aged care funding to claim higher subsidies than they would otherwise have been entitled to.

From 2017-2018, Paul was CEO Greater China for Malaysia-based private healthcare operator IHH Healthcare. He then spent two years (2020-2022) as Hospital Director of UK-based private healthcare operator Spire Healthcare Group. Most recently, since 2022, he has been CEO of the Dubai-based International Modern Hospital.
