Group Homes Australia’s Hunters Hill home scheduled to open at the end of October

1 min read

Group Homes Australia (GHA), which operates 15 small dementia care homes that look like residential homes embedded in local communities with only six to 10 residents in each, is opening its second home in Earl Street, in Sydney’s Hunters Hill, 9km from the city centre.

Ahead of the opening, Group Homes will host two Open Home Market Days on Sundays 15 and 22 October to introduce themselves to the local community, selling fresh produce, flowers, coffee, and baked goods made by residents and staff, called ‘Homemakers’, at GHA.

GHA founder, Tamar Krebs, will also hold education sessions titled ‘Understanding Dementia’ at 11.30am on the Market Days.

A home on Chiltern Crescent, Castle Hills, is due to open in February 2024.

Group Homes Australia has six homes in development and 21 homes, including in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Hills District, Hunters Hill, Inner West, the North Shore, the Northern Beaches, and the Sutherland Shire.
