Facebook used by Bendigo police to find care facility resident

Bendigo police have set up a Facebook page titled Eyewatch with 5,500 followers. When Peter Saunders, 87, was reported missing last Saturday night at 9:30 PM they posted a photo and information that he had significant health concerns.

One hour later he was found sleeping at a bus shelter by a North Bendigo family who had seen the Facebook post and jumped in the car to drive around looking for him. Mr. Saunders daughter, Tracey Lane, thanked the community via a post
