Gone to the mattresses! WA NFP’s show how to stage a protest

Seniors lobby groups have been working hard to attract attention this week but Western Australian (WA) NFP’s hit the media jackpot with a ‘lie in’ on mattresses at a WA aged care facility. Balcatta’s St Andrew’s Care Facility was the venue for the headline grabbing stunt, organised by ACSWA to highlight the plight of WA’s many elderly people who are stuck in hospitals because of the lack of aged care beds. Representatives from WA not-for-profit aged care organisations, including Ray Glickman from Amana Living, joined ACSWA CEO, Stephen Kobelke to protest.
