Established in 1964 as the Mt Pritchard & District Community Club, the club group now has a number of clubs across Sydney and the Central Coast including Harbord Diggers which is home to a five-star retirement village and an intergenerational precinct.
The Club group has won the Health & Wellbeing category at the Clubs & Community Awards 2021 for launching Mounties Care, a free health and wellbeing service available to all of its 160,000-plus members, late last year.
Mounties partnered with Sydney-based Vitalis Health and Home Care, which offers a range of integrated care services, including:
- Free members health line manned by Registered Nurses and available 8:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday
- Home care services
- Care navigation
- Allied health
- Hospital at Home
- General Practitioners
- Mental health support
- Women’s health
The group says ‘Mounties Care’ was developed after a customer feedback survey held last year revealed the main concern of members was the health and wellbeing of themselves and their loved ones.
CEO Dale Hunt said: “I could not be prouder of what we have achieved as a team this past year and bringing Mounties Care to our members, amalgamating with more venues and being able to help more people in NSW as a result, is a defining moment for us.”
“Just being recognised for the work that we are doing, let alone winning, is something we can all be proud of. I am excited to see what the next year brings as we invest further into the initiatives and programs that really matter to our members.”
