Oakfield Rise Retirement Estate Community Centre by Southern Cross Care (SA, NT & VIC) wins UDIA SA award

On winning the prestigious UDIA industry award, Southern Cross Care CEO David Moran said “Our organisation’s “Better for life” vision for older people to improve their physical and mental health was fundamental to the overall outcome of this centre.”

The first four stages of the Not For Profit’s Oakfield Rise Retirement Estate Community Centre in Mount Barker, 33km from Adelaide, are fully occupied. They are now building a further 58 homes. When completed, the estate will comprise more than 180 villas.

The community centre, built by Partek Construction & Interiors and designed by Cube Architects, serves the residents and wider community in terms of its Health & Wellness Centre which houses allied health practitioners.

The SOURCE: Health and community engagement is proving a successful marketing mix to win locals into the village.
