Blue Haven Terralong Village is staying ours, says Kiama Council on NSW South Coast

The embattled council, which had to front a NSW Upper House inquiry last week, has published a media release entitled “Blue Haven Terralong facts”.

“Council is not seeking to divest Blue Haven Terralong Village” it stated.

This is the council that sold its Blue Haven Bonaira aged care facility and independent living units for $95 million to Perth-based Hall & Prior yet only received $26 million.

Kiama Council said there are currently a higher than usual 17 vacant units in the seven-level Blue Haven Terralong village, with an additional four vacant units under refurbishment.

It added the Blue Haven Terralong asset is quite aged, with some units more than 40 years old. In addition, some units and common areas also needed fire safety compliance work.
