A sign of retirement living demand: AdventCare’s Stage 3 Pavilions Blackburn Lakes in Melbourne sold out as Stage 2 opens

1 min read

The multi-award-winning Pavilions Blackburn Lake in Nunawading, 18km east of Melbourne’s CBD, is the definition of a perfect retirement community, according to Rob Macpherson, One Fell Swoop's Retirement Living National Sales Director.

"Stage 2 officially open, only two apartments left for sale, stage 3 already sold out with no advertising, doesn’t get much better than this,” he said.

Not For Profit AdventCare's Stage 1 was built by Hutchinson Builders, with 41 apartments. Stage 2, which has 66 apartments, was officially opened on Thursday, 18 April, was built by Ironside Construction. Apartments were priced from $695,000 to $1.12 million.

The third stage with 20 two- and three-bedroom apartments is underway.

The history of building Pavilions Blackburn Lakes is a triumph of Project Lead Galen Gan's determination against ridiculous repeated opposition, including from those who now sit in its Miss Lucy cafe.
