Co-located services planned for heritage-listed Cottesloe Deaf School in Perth, WA

1 min read

Hall & Prior chief executive Graeme Prior has outlined his company's plans for the site built by the WA Foundation for Deaf Children in 1896.

“Our revitalisation plans for the site include a health and aged care precinct, including much-needed residential aged care and retirement living opportunities, to serve this very well-established community,” Graeme said.

The building was used as a boarding facility for deaf children up until 1949, when it was taken over by the Western Australian Government.

The State Government, WA Foundation for Deaf Children and Cottesloe Living, Health and Aged Care entered into a memorandum of understanding to redevelop the site in 2022. CoreLogic Australia data reveals the heritage-listed building was sold for $3.5 million, while the nearly 1.8ha site around the building sold for $31.5 million.
