The business has been given approval from Toowoomba Region to build a 312-home land lease resort near Toowoomba. 

It covers a 28ha block of land in Torrington, a rural locality in Toowoomba, 132km west of Brisbane and will be built over 15 stages. 

The parcel of land is one of several across Toowoomba included in a temporary local planning instrument by the council, which was passed in 2022 to encourage more housing in land zoned as emerging communities.   

Their first resort, Clifton Old Bar, was named NSW Land Lease Community of the Year at the Land Lease Living, Caravan & Camping and Manufactured Housing Industry Association of NSW's annual Awards of Excellence in November 2023.  

Clifton Lifestyle has opened a resort in Yamba, in the NSW Northern Rivers, 671km northeast of Sydney’s CBD, which will have a total of 197 properties. Last year it also announced a resort at Taree, on the NSW Mid North Coast, and is the buyer of Kinglsey Andrew’s site at Victor Harbour in South Australia’s Hindmarsh Valley, which has approval for 272 manufactured homes.
