Living Choice expands development program with a land lease community resort in Murray Bridge, SA

Ian Tregoning and Graham Hobbs (pictured below) must be one of the most active developers in the retirement living sector at present.

Living Choice Parkwood on QLD's Gold Coast, Living Choice Galston in Sydney, and Living Choice Mount Barker, SA, are under construction; in January, it was announced, in tandem with the leading aged care operator Opal HealthCare, it has bought the remaining land at Julia Farr Centre, known as Highgate Park, in Fullarton, for integrated living for $42 million.

Now Living Choice has lodged a Development Application with Plan SA for the first three stages of a planned land lease retirement community in the growing city 78km east-southeast of the state's capital city Adelaide.

The $100 million Over 50s community on a former racecourse will include 229 homes, a community centre, bocce and pickleball courts, and a creek running through the middle of the village.

It was to have formed part of the Newbridge housing development, but developers Burke Urban sold it to Living Choice last year.

If approved, the Living Choice development will be the fifth major retirement development in Murray Bridge with Murray Lands Retirement Village, Murray Heights Lutheran Village, Waterford Estate and Warner Close already operating.
