A property rezoning has been brought to our attention.
Forestry Corporation has been issued gateway approval by NSW Government to partly rezone their forestry at two sites in West Pennant Hills, 21km northwest of Sydney's CBD.
Mecone was employed to rezone the land from RU3 Forestry to R2 Low Density Residential and apply a minimum lot size of 700msq, consistent with surrounding land sizes.
Both sites are circa 3,300msq each.
In a series of amendments made on 1 July 2022, seniors housing can now be developed by any person in the R2 Low Density Residential zone. This was previously restricted to the NSW Land and Housing Corporation and operators under the Retirement Villages Act 1999.
Indicative subdivision plans have been prepared. For the northern site, plans show two lots with total areas of 1,145msq and 2,177msq. For the southern site plans show two lots with total areas of 1,971msq and 1,763msq.
