Ryman Healthcare Australia gets Kealba village development approval

1 min read

The plan approved by Brimbank City Council allows for a retirement village to be built with 140 independent living units, including two and three-bedroom single storey dwellings, a central four-storey residential aged care building accommodating approximately 54 assisted living apartments and 80 rooms (beds) for aged care use.

The six-hectare vacant site used to be home to the former Kealba Secondary College, which is 15km northwest of Melbourne’s CBD.

Ryman Healthcare Australia owns and operates 14 retirement villages with aged care facilities in Melbourne, Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula and the Mornington Peninsula. In FY23, it received planning approval for retirement villages in Mulgrave and Mt Eliza.
