Strathpine Aged Care, located in Moreton Bay, 14km north of the Brisbane CBD, has accepted its first residents and held an Open Day in February to give prospective residents an opportunity to tour the new facility.
The home includes communal lounges and dining areas, courtyards and gardens. offers a range of activities, including beauty therapy, bocce, bowls, exercise programs, a hairdresser, happy hour, men's group, tai chi and movie screenings.
Strathpine Aged Care operates under the household model of care, being divided into three households, including one especially designed for dementia care. Rooms look onto 'green' courtyards, providing a connection to nature, and are arranged in a circular layout to facilitate easy wayfinding.
RADs range from $300,000 for a two-bed 32.2 sqm room, to $650,000 for a one-bed 34.6 sqm premium suite.
The aged care home is operated by Tingari Group, which operates eight aged care homes across Queensland, Victoria and NSW.
