Coolibah Care, a Not For Profit provider of residential aged care, independent living, and home care services in Mandurah, Western Australia, about 70km south of Perth, opened its Coolibah Care Training Hub on 31 January 2024.
WA's Minister for Regional Development, Disability, Fisheries, Seniors and Ageing, and Volunteering, Don Punch MLA (pictured above, right), performed the official opening.
The Hub is located next door to the Coolibah Care Residential Facility, and will be used as a facility to train and develop nursing and care staff in skills such as CPR, first aid, manual handling, and dementia care. There is space for group training as well as one-on-one learning. Computers are available for online learning.
The Hub was made possible with a $100,000 grant from the State Government's Regional Economic Development Grants Program.
