Govt launches MyAgedCare campaign to boost consumer awareness

1 min read

The Fed Govt has launched a national awareness campaign to raise the profile of the MyAgedCare website and 1800 number.

The campaign will run across newspapers, magazines, radio, digital and social media.

Information is also being sent out to 4,820 GP surgeries around the country.

Research conducted last year by the Department of Health and Healthdirect Australia found only 24% of Australians knew about the helpline and only 20% about the website.

That still leaves many consumers unaware that they may be eligible for home care services – or that they can apply for them through MyAgedCare.
