The Not For Profit provider of Retirement Living, Aged Care, Home Care and Disability Support Services has announced its plans for the next 20 years.
Chief Executive Officer Craig Wearne said it is working “really hard” with Port Macquarie Hastings Council to get the masterplan approved.
“If approved, the plan will allow us to offer 445 retirement living apartments, an increase of 91%, and expand residential aged care to support 147 residents.”

The details are:
• 445 one-, two- and three-bedroom independent living apartments;
• 147 residential aged care places in a new, purpose-built environment for residents with higher support needs;
• on-site amenities including café, club lounge, general store, cinema, BBQ pavilions, hydrotherapy pool and healthcare rooms;
• a piazza-style village heart and shared indoor and outdoor spaces that encourage wellness and an active, social lifestyle; and
• solar power, water-saving systems, energy-efficient buildings and EV charging stations.
Garden Village opened The Banksia building in September 2022 and The Cascades in 2018, both built by BESIX Watpac, for independent retirement living.
