LDK Seniors’ Living reports huge surge in demand at new Amberfield village
"We have had $330 million in sales to date and have written $79 million in the last 30 days alone, with a forecasted additional $50 million extra sales projected between now and Christmas," LDK Seniors' Living CEO Byron Cannon.
With Stage Two of Amberfield now complete, LDK Seniors’ Living CEO Byron Cannon says demand for the group’s latest private aged care product has exceeded expectations.
“We had 1,000-plus attendees at our recent Amberfield Open Day held on 25 October. We had to stop marketing activity for the event due to the large early RSVPs,” Byron said.
Stage Two of LDK Seniors’ Living Amberfield, in Weston, Canberra, is a $100 million Rothelowman-designed build, delivering 127 apartments, including two specialist dementia homes and care apartments.
“We have had $330 million in sales to date and have written $79 million over 44 sales in the last 30 days alone, with a forecast additional $50 million in sales projected between now and Christmas,” he said.
Byron added that 50% of sales are upfront memberships, validating LDK’s One Move Promise, with care embedded as part of the package.
A large share of demand is coming via referrals from the neighbouring LDK Seniors’ Living Greenway Views village, which, as The Weekly SOURCE reported on 20 October, now hosts around 40 seniors’ clubs and sees about 1,500 people a week using its community spaces who don’t live there.
