First reveal of Lewis Land’s first clubhouse and wellness centre
Australia’s oldest private property developer has unveiled $10 million worth of lifestyle and wellness amenities within its inaugural land lease community in Port Macquarie, 390km north of Sydney’s CBD.
Featuring an exclusive clubhouse and wellness centre with a resort-style pool, bowls green and pickleball courts, Sovereign Rise is the latest addition to Lewis Land’s 350-hectare $1.5 billion Sovereign Hills masterplan in Port Macquarie, which is already home to 3,000 residents.
Sovereign Rise will offer 135 single level two- and three-bedroom homes for people aged over 55.
Lewis Land Head of Development Michael Long said Sovereign Rise is the latest development in their long-term vision for the community, where the company has been actively investing in and developing for the past 17 years.

“From the outset, the vision for Sovereign Hills was always about more than delivering houses. It was about creating a home, and a genuine feeling of community,” Michael said.
“The Sovereign Place Town Centre has been a cornerstone of realising the vision as an essential part of how the masterplan brings people together, so it was vital we took a highly considered approach to Sovereign Rise’s resident amenities to ensure they enhanced, not competed with, the established community facilities and services.
“Rather than duplicating what already exists locally, we partnered with BDA Architecture to design exclusive resident spaces that will provide a private retreat for the residents while complementing their easy access to the retail, dining and health services just across the street.”
The 765sqm Sovereign Rise clubhouse will be located near the entrance of the community and will feature amenities including a cinema, library, games, arts and meeting rooms, lounge, function space with dance floor, kitchen and bar, and outdoor dining.

In addition, there will be a wellness hub including a resort-style swimming pool, spa and gym, with RV and boat storage located on site.
Located adjacent to Sovereign Place Town Centre, Sovereign Rise also offers access to retail, dining, health and beauty services, a gym, and vet hospital with future plans to transform the site into a 60,000+sqm retail, commercial and entertainment precinct.
The surrounding community also includes a school, childcare centres, sports fields, pedestrian networks and parklands.
“The approach and design of Sovereign Hills reflect Lewis Land’s proven success in delivering mixed-use developments, encompassing residential communities, retail centres and leisure assets along Australia’s eastern seaboard,” Michael said.
Stage one is expected to commence construction in mid-2026 and will deliver 60 homes as well as the community’s lifestyle and recreation amenities.
