TriCare opens first Victorian home: 126-bed Williams Landing

Family-owned aged care operator TriCare opened its long-anticipated Williams Landing Aged Care Residence with an official opening ceremony attended by Wyndham City Council Mayor Susan McIntyre.

The $30 million, 126-bed facility, located 20km southwest of the Melbourne CBD, is four storeys. The home includes communal and private dining areas and lounges, a glass conservatory, a wine bar, a cafe, in-house cinema, and salon. It is 15 minutes from wheelchair accessible Altona Beach.

The home’s first resident, Catina Papadopolous, assisted cutting the opening ribbon (pictured above).

TriCare, which is owned by the O’Shea family, has nine retirement villages and 17 residential aged care facilities.

The SOURCE: Williams Landing marks the expansion of TriCare’s aged care operations into Victoria. The organisation’s other aged care facilities are in Queensland and NSW.
