Country Health SA will receive an extra $14 million a year – an increase from just $4 million a year – over the next decade to upgrade infrastructure across its 61 hospitals and 20-plus aged care facilities in rural and remote areas.
The commitment comes despite the Government recently scrapping fast-track assessment for retirement villages and aged care developments in Adelaide following widespread opposition by community advocacy groups.
We’re guessing the recent media coverage of the Oakden scandal has the Government keen to avoid any more negative news.
