Goulburn health club plots aged care facility

1 min read

The NSW town’s Bradfordville Health Hub is in talks with aged care operators about building a facility on land at the back of the club, according to the Goulburn Post.

The group behind the club has submitted an amended planning proposal including aged care for the 35-acre site to be rezoned from general industrial to infrastructure. If approved, the project would include aged care plus a day surgery, rehabilitation clinic and other health facilities.

Director of the Cullingral Family Trust and Bradfordville Health Hub developer Sophie Ashton says there is “significant demand, particularly for affordable aged care” from both Sydney residents and locals.

Their proposal says that the region has six aged care homes with just 123 high-care and 240 low-care beds – but over 2,000 people aged over 75 years.
