Public submissions stage for Living Gems’ 215-home “lifestyle resort” north of Brisbane

Six months after major retirement operator Living Gems lodged development plans for a 215 two-bedroom home land lease resort in Burpengary East, north of Brisbane, it has gone out for public submissions.

The community, which will be developed over 12 hectares, will be built in four stages. Living Gems’ proposal states that a future local centre or neighbourhood hub has been earmarked just 800m from the proposed development, with the majority of urban services and facilities located just 2.5km from the site.

The proposal is impact assessable with residents now able to submit their feedback to Moreton Bay Regional Council until 29 September.

The land lease operator, along with sister business GemLife, have a combined 15 locations across south east Queensland, from Toowoomba to Pacific Paradise.
