VIC Opposition promises bus stops for two Mornington Peninsula retirement villages

Residents of two retirement villages on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula have been promised easier access to bus services if the Coalition wins this month’s state election.

The Opposition has promised an extension to bus routes in Mornington, pledging to have the 781 and 785 routes stop at the existing bus shoulder near RCA’s Beleura Village and Australian Unity’s Peninsula Grange Retirement Village (pictured).

Additionally, the Coalition will spend $100,000 on new shelters and timetable poles for these two stops, as well as two more stops at a local primary school and caravan park, if it takes power in the November 26 election.

As reported in the Mornington Peninsula News, residents of both villages have been lobbying the State Government for years to improve bus access in the area.
