Aged care and retirement living lawyer Arthur Koumoukelis has joined TG Legal + Technology (TGLT) as Principal Lawyer, where he will head the firm’s growing Retirement Village Rollovers practice.
Arthur moves across from sister firm Thomson Geer , where he was a Partner and a driving force in its Health, Aged Care, Disability and Retirement Living team. He is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading advisors in the sector, with more than three decades’ experience.
“With more than three decades of experience, Arthur is one of Australia’s most respected legal advisors in the sector, bringing unmatched expertise to TGLT at a time of unprecedented regulatory change and growth,” the firm said in a statement.
At TGLT, Arthur will lead the firm’s rollovers team, assisting operators with the conveyancing and contractual processes required as residents move in and out of accommodation. He will also continue to provide strategic legal advice across the wider aged care and seniors living sectors, drawing on his deep understanding of the intersection between business, government, regulation and community needs.
“I’m looking forward to leading the TGLT Rollovers team and working hand-in-hand with clients to deliver practical, resident-focused outcomes,” Arthur said. “This is a once-in-a-generation moment of reform and integration of aged care and retirement villages and we are committed to helping operators navigate the evolution with confidence.”
