The Sydney-based property developer has revealed its vision for the former Stockland master planned community project at Huntley, 18km from Wollongong, which it acquired in May.
The Forest Reach site will deliver 530 residential land lots, 108 townhomes, and a proposed 236-home Vantage land lease community, AVID CEO Cameron Holt announced this morning.
“This project provides us with a unique opportunity to expand our portfolio and create another great place for Australian families to live and thrive,” Cameron said.
“Coastal regions across NSW, in particular the Illawarra, are experiencing strong buyer demand and we are energised by this opportunity to enter a new market in a region with such robust potential.”

On completion, Forest Reach will feature two local parks and 4.74ha of waterway corridors – equivalent to almost nine international football fields in size – with more than 22km of shared walking and bike paths.
The project was one of several assets Stockland sold after the Foreign Investment Review Board approved its $1.3 billion acquisition of Lendlease’s master planned communities. Stockland had welcomed its first Forest Reach residents in August 2024 and had also planned to deliver a land lease community on the site.
AVID Project Director New South Wales Danny Boubli said Forest Reach would strengthen AVID’s presence in the state, where it currently has two active projects.
