Palm Lake Group has unveiled The Springs Country Club at Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast – a $55 million, 15,000m² architectural showpiece that could easily pass for a luxury resort.
More than 70 homeowners, all over 50, have already moved in – paying an average of $2 million each, with some spending well above double that for a slice of the opulence.
The Springs spans five precincts and includes the largest over-50s wellness centre in the Southern Hemisphere, a championship seven-rink bowling green, Palm Springs-inspired pool deck, whisky and piano bars, tenpin bowling alley, gold-class cinema, creative studios, and bespoke furnishings – 1,000 custom-made pieces designed exclusively for the space.
“Never before has the land lease lifestyle industry in Australia seen a communal facility of this calibre,” said Suzanne Jensen, General Manager, Development. “Nothing comes close – and may never come close in the future.”
Palm Lake Group Managing Director Scott Elliott called it “our boldest dream come to life – one almost 50 years in the making,” adding, “I almost feel like Willy Wonka some days, moving between levels in The Springs’ gold elevator.”
Located beside the Greg Norman-designed Pelican Waters Golf Club, Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters will total 332 homes by 2027 at a project cost of over $500 million, with several record-breaking sales already exceeding $4 million.
