Roshana Care Group expands its Victorian aged care footprint

1 min read

Western Australian operator Roshana Care Group has added a third Melbourne site, acquiring Graceland Manor, a 45-bed aged care home in Elsternwick, 9km south-east of the CBD.

Formerly run by Graceland Hostel Services as a standalone service, the two-storey home has operated for nearly 15 years, specialising in multicultural aged care, and was recently refurbished. It sits within walking distance of Elsternwick’s shopping precinct, cafés, cinema and churches.

Roshana’s two other Melbourne homes are in Noble Park, in the south, and Macleod, also in the north. The Graceland Manor purchase aligns with the group’s ambitious growth strategy focused on acquisitions – particularly in the regions – and a parallel expansion into medical services.

The group’s aged care portfolio now spans WA, NSW, Victoria and Queensland. Graceland Manor is its 17th aged care home. Last month, Roshana acquired Rosedurnate Aged Care Home in Parkes, NSW, which had been closed for a year by former operator The Salvation Army.

Roshana is also building out healthcare capability, with three GP practices operating and seven more planned by June 2026. The goal is to deliver “hospital-in-home” and “home-hospital” programs through state partnerships, with pilots planned.

The Melbourne deal underscores the sector’s consolidation trend: heavier compliance, rising costs and thin margins are pushing smaller operators to exit, while larger groups pursue scale and efficiencies.
