Its been revealed a significant 24% of 1,000 residents surveyed in RVA member villages in 2007 needed to use the emergency call system in the past 12 months. It is a reminder that while residents are supposed to be independent, they are still, to a degree, fragile. It also highlights the valuable role a village provides for residents in terms of safety and support. The other good news is, almost everyone questioned (93 percent), were confident in their villages emergency call system. Overwhelmingly, survey respondents said they loved the village lifestyle.
