More than 400 attend launch of Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club’s ‘The Riverly’ seniors living project

More than 400 people turned out for the launch of The Riverly, a $40 million retirement living development opposite Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club in Denistone, 16km north-west of the Sydney CBD.

The project will deliver 87 apartments – a mix of one-, one-plus-study, two-, two-plus-study and three-bedroom layouts – across four buildings, with completion targeted for June 2028. The club first lodged the proposal with the City of Ryde Council in October 2017.

Vision Lifestyle is partnering with the club to provide seniors living advisory services, manage sales and operate the village on opening.

On-site facilities will include communal event spaces, alfresco entertaining areas, barbecues, multi-purpose rooms for resident-led classes, an on-site library, a community vegetable garden and landscaped grounds.

Residents will also have access to a concierge team, health and wellbeing services and 24/7 emergency support, plus complimentary access to Fitness Edge, the club’s gym and aquatic centre with an indoor pool and regular classes.

With 40,000 members, many aged over 65, the club says member surveys indicate strong demand for a well-designed, community-focused seniors housing option in the immediate area, according to a planning report by Ethos Urban (now Colliers) prepared prior to approval in August.

To meet ongoing interest, the club will host weekly Information Sessions every Tuesday at 10:30am in the Hawks Lounge from 21 October, covering the project and EOI process – register at theriverly.com.au.
