Telstra Health launches CareKeeper app for real-time care

1 min read

Telstra Health’s new CareKeeper app, which allows residential aged care staff to view, capture and document care in real time, has officially launched.

Displayed at last week’s LEADERS SUMMIT 2022, the app is integrated with Telstra Health’s Clinical Manager software and uses an icon-based design that helps staff identify and check off tasks that need completing, while capturing information in the form of charts and progress notes.

According to Telstra Health’s Head of Aged & Disability, Michael Donnelly, CareKeeper – which has been in development for 12 months – allows staff to spend less time at the nurses’ station and more time with residents.

“With half of Australia’s Personal Care Workers (PCW) aged 40 or under, we’re conscious that innovative solutions are now the expectation. We therefore co-designed CareKeeper with clients to ensure a positive User Experience (UX) was front of mind.

“The app also includes offline capabilities, is hosted securely via Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform and contains security features such as unique log in credentials, access based on role type, and automatic log out after a set period of inactivity,” he said.
