Aged Care Guild petition tops 5,000 signatures ahead of Budget

Their ‘Protect Aussie Aged Care’ campaign was launched three weeks ago to lobby local members to fight further cuts to aged care funding before the Federal Budget is announced next Tuesday.

Last year’s Budget saw $1.2B slashed from the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) on top of previous cuts in recent years.

CEO Cameron O’Reilly said: “Even though the campaign has only been running for a very short time, we have close to 5,000 petitions. This indicates a significant level of concern within the community.”
