Australia’s representative age care organisations are calling on Australians to acknowledge the efforts of aged care workers around the country on Aged Care Employee Day (ACED).
Leading voices in the sector have joined calls to support the 7 August event, including Aged & Community Services Australia, the Aged Care Guild, Anglicare Australia, Baptist Care Australia, Catholic Health Australian, UnitingCare Australia and Leading Age Services Australia.
“On this day we celebrate the pinnacle of caring that we see each and every day,” said LASA CEO Sean Rooney.
“We salute them because they all play vital roles – from nurses, personal care workers and allied health professionals, to chefs, cleaners, gardeners, managers and volunteers.”
