Annette Hili appointed as new GM for Canadian home care technology platform AlayaCare

The former BaptistCare NSW Chief Operating Officer will head up the platform’s Australia and New Zealand operations as it expands its market reach to include residential aged care providers.

As we reported here, AlayaCare was founded in 2014 and has 200 home and community care customers across Australia and Canada. The company recently acquired home care software vendor Procura.

Breaking news: Government delays new Aged Care Act

Minister for Health and Ageing Mark Butler and Minister for Aged Care and Seniors Sam Rae announced this morning that commencement of the new Aged Care Act on 1 July 2025 will be delayed four months until 1 November 2025.

Daniel Gannon, Executive Director of the Retirement Living Council, said the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission’s proposal to make residential aged care providers operating independent living units (ILUs) and retirement villages retain 10% of ILU and retirement village refundable amounts as liquid funds from 1 July this year, has been reduced to 2%.
