Total Construction has begun building Stage 1 of TriCare’s first residential aged care facility in Victoria at Williams Landing, about 20km southwest of Melbourne’s CBD.

The four-storey 126-bed facility is scheduled for completion by late 2022. It will include communal and private dining areas and lounges, a glass conservatory, a wine bar, a café, in-house cinema and a salon.

Cedar Woods’ chief operating officer Patrick Archer says the project will provide essential facilities for the ageing population across the greater Wyndham area.

“We are creating a community that delivers benefits across generations, from childcare to aged care facilities. Locals who have lived in the area with their families for decades deserve high quality facilities close to home. This facility will keep them within the community they know,” he said.

According to ABS data, the over 65 population in the Wyndham area, which includes Williams Landing, is expected to triple in the next 20 years.
