A year after what Highgate Developments Group Managing Director Andrew Pitcher called “rigorous design, consultation and change”, development approval has been given for The Grove lifestyle community in Highworth, on the outskirts of Nambour on the Queensland Sunshine Coast.
Now a 233-dwelling development, the DA for the $70 million 275-home land lease community was lodged in December 2020.
Sunshine Coast Council said the applicant will still be required to obtain an operational works approval before work can start on the site.
“Further detail is required to be provided at the operational works stage to demonstrate how the development will meet the relevant outcomes of the applicable assessment benchmarks,” said a council spokeswoman.
