Aura Holdings lodges plan for a new retirement village in Brisbane

In partnership with the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland, the private operator plans to develop its seventh retirement village within the heritage-listed St Francis College campus in Milton, a riverside inner suburb of Brisbane.

Since being founded in 2016, owners Tim Russell and Mark Taylor have been developing luxury vertical over 60s villages in sought-after locations in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

The latest project, designed by Cox Architecture with landscape design by JFP Urban Consultants, will see three buildings of four to six storeys with a mixture of two- and three-bedroom apartments, some with additional multipurpose rooms.

There will also be a communal rooftop terrace and ground-level amenities including a gym, library, pool, barbeque area, rooftop terraces and a firepit lounge.

Shared-use spaces, such as function rooms, would be available to both residents and the broader parish and college community on the 3.83ha site that currently is a religious and educational campus.
