Catholic Healthcare nears completion on Blacktown retirement village expansion

1 min read

Catholic Healthcare is nearing completion of its St Hedwig Village development at Blacktown in Sydney’s west, with a third of the new apartments already reserved.

St Hedwig Village, which was bought by Catholic Healthcare in 2020, had additional units announced not long after its purchase, with an initially scheduled completion date of June this year.

Board and executive members recently visited the construction site, which adds more than 70 new apartments to the existing 48 independent living units and 132-bed aged care home.

“With demand for quality retirement living in the Blacktown area and quality feedback from current residents about how good it is to live there, it made perfect sense to expand the village when the opportunity became available,” said Catholic Healthcare.

“The complete redevelopment of St Hedwig Village means the creation of 72 new, contemporary 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments, priced from as little as $450,000.”
