For Purpose Aged Care Australia (FPACA) has officially opened its second aged care home in Western Australia, the 144-bed Mandurah Community Care facility in Dawesville, 90km south of Perth.
The facility welcomed its first residents on 5 May, with a waiting list of more than 100 already in place.
This launch marks a significant milestone in FPACA’s national expansion, following the opening of two new homes in Victoria in March:
- Romsey Community Aged Care (120 beds), located 65km north of Melbourne, with a waitlist exceeding 100; and
- Warragul Community Aged Care (144 beds) (pictured top), located 106km southeast of Melbourne, with over 70 people on its waiting list.
FPACA, a Not For Profit operator established by social impact investment firm For Purpose Investment Partners, has rapidly expanded its footprint through strategic acquisitions:
- The three-home Luson Aged Care group in Melbourne in March 2023, and
- Graeme Croft’s Signature Care portfolio, comprising 14 aged care homes, including six in development, acquired in April 2024.
As part of its national expansion, FPACA has now launched a unified brand identity, retiring the Luson and Signature Care names.
The new brand, For Purpose Aged Care Australia, is supported by the tagline “A new age in aged care” and a vision to “create communities that set the standard in aged care.”
Coinciding with the rebrand, FPACA has launched a new website: FPAgedCare.org.au.
Group CEO Matthew Filocamo emphasised that the new identity reflects the organisation’s shared values and intent to redefine aged care in Australia.
“Our name may have changed, but our commitment to each resident and community remains steadfast,” Matthew said. “We are building something bigger than just a brand – we’re building a movement to redefine aged care in Australia.”
FPACA now has over 2,000 aged care beds under management and more than 800 new beds in development, including:
- Grafton Community Aged Care in regional NSW (opening November 2025)
- Bunbury, its third WA home (planned for 2027)
- Nerang, 70km south of Brisbane in QLD (planned for 2027)
- Rowville, a development site 30km southeast of Melbourne acquired via Luson (planned for 2028)
