Phil Usher, one of the industry’s best-known innovators, has helped turn the sod to mark the commencement of his second project under his Odyssey brand.
There will be 167 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, plus penthouses, in the 19-storey tower on Chevron Island that is expected to cost $127 million to build.
Memory Lane, which was launched in Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities’ inaugural facility at Robina, will have an entire floor at Chevron dedicated to seniors with cognitive impairments.
“Since Robina opened in mid-2020, we’ve learnt a lot about seniors’ living preferences and have found many residents are keen for a variety of options when it comes to space,” Phil (pictured) said. “We’re delivering the ideal blend of retirement and aged care, with no waiting lists and you don’t need to move again as all the services are delivered to you as needed into your home from our dedicated on-site care team.
“You don’t need to be frail to live with us, and if you own your home now, affordability to live with us at Odyssey should be no problem.”
